Executive Reports:
President’s Report: -
Due to the financial situation of the club, Brampton's
executive has agreed that we cannot afford to give money to other
Rugby Leagues. Despite this decision, the BRFC supports all players
who wish to try out and play for any of the Super League teams.
Fixtures Report: -
The Men’s season will start after the May long weekend. Due to this
late start, an extra week of play has been scheduled in July. The
women’s schedule will be available soon. Currently, there is little
conflict with Super league games. In order for a game to be
rescheduled, a minimum of 4 players must have conflicting game
schedules.
ORU First half due date The first half payment is due
March 1st and at this time the senior fixtures secretary
will be provided with the names of all club/teams which have paid.
He will base the schedule on this information, and if payment is not
received by the deadline, this team will not be included in the
league schedule.
Drop Dead Dates The schedule will be established by April
15th which will be the drop dead date for removing a
team. If a team is entered into league play and pulled out after
April 15th, the club will be liable for the 2nd
half payment of the dues immediately.
Senior Team April 15th
2nd half payment for senior dues July 30th
Payment for Jr. Teams June 1st
Drop dead date for Jr. Teams June 7th
Defaults: All teams in league play will be assessed and
billed a fee of $150 per default PLUS THE
REFEREE’S match fee (if
they are not properly notified by the Thursday 9 pm deadline) which
will be due immediately upon receipt of the invoice.
Women’s Report: -
The Junior Girls' team needs a coach. An e-mail has been sent to
all high school Rugby coaches. Darlene will contact Michaela Jeffs
and Jen Clark. Brooke Hilditch has expressed interest, but she will
need help due to the time commitment. Please contact Amanda
Corsetti at
acorsetti@gmail.com if you know someone who might be interested.
Membership Report: -
Jamey will email Club members outlining the price of membership.
Membership prices have increased due to insurance. However, the new
dues extend insurance to training sessions. The fees are as follows:
Minis $ 120
Juniors $ 170
U21 $ 245
Senior Men $ 380
Senior Women $ 280
Social $ 50
Jamey has created an
information sheet that will be handed out at Junior Registration Day
on 14 April 2007. This package suggests not only how parents can
volunteer, but offers a list of ideas of how parents and players can
help the Club.
A solution is needed to
solve the high number of different payments we make to the ORU, and
the number of people handling money. Jamey will review online
payment option. Note: Lee McDonald is handling registration for the
women’s team.
Discussion on lottery
license was tabled to the next meeting.
Correspondence on
Membership included notification that All clubs must have enough
registered players (15 per team for seniors, 18 per team for juniors
) to meet the commitment made for the entry of teams into League
play. The minimum registration numbers must be in place NO LATER
than 1st April 2007.
Sponsorship Report
The sponsorship package
still needs revision. Kirk will keep the executive updated with
respect to details of lease, and will soon have final copy.
Treasurer’s Report
Graham provided details on
the Club’s financial position. We need to continue encouraging
members to pay early membership to help pay the BRFC bills.
Clubhouse Manager’s
Report
The Executive decided that
it is in the Club’s best interest to rent out the facilities for
Superbowl Sunday, as a company has already expressed interest.
Jim Wilson has provided
Lucia with a list of repairs and maintenance that need to be done in
the Club house. The full list will be provided to Hedley and he will
prioritize these.
Further issues in this
portfolio were tabled to the next meeting.
Webmaster’s Report
Brief review of Keith’s
notes. Items tabled to next meeting.
Next Meeting
The next Executive meeting will be held Friday 3rd February 2007.
