BRFC EXECUTIVE MEETING MINUTES      July  2007

Correspondence

Kevin Brenders from Oakville Crusaders is introducing Rgby to intercity youths.  This team potentially could be a Mississauga Juniors Team.

Kent/Gavin to handle suspension order against Ryan Luffman.

Current issues regarding Women’s team with Caledon and TRU to be handled by Malcolm and Kent.

Directors Reports

President

Hedley Benyon is moving to London, ON.  Proposal to honor Hedley at home game August 12^th [cancelled as 1^st team not playing].  Extend invitation to Hedley to be guest speaker at awards banquet.

BRFC lease is with City of Brampton.  City informed Brampton that we would get the same terms for renewal.  Matt to draw up notice of intent; to contact City on November 11^th 2007.

Proposal to have Junior Executive.  Discuss at September meeting.

Malcolm to contact Kirk re Sponsorship Director position.

Off-season training booked; details at later date.

Every team to make list of currently owned/needed jerseys, equipment, etc. for budget purposes

Malcolm to contact Keith Wilkinson re past member profiles on website

Treasurer

At present, financial situation is healthy. Require ~$15000 in reserve for winter months to ensure monthly bills are covered.

Fixtures

EAP has not been completed

Tuesday July 31^st Nomads vs. Senior Men 1^st team

August 11^th games moved to Sunday 12^th at home.  Women at 12pm, 3^rd at 1:30pm, 2^nd at 3pm

Chuck will be passing on some of his duties as Fixtures Director.  Create the position of a Fixtures Coordinator; one from mens and one from junior side.  Chuck will put together a volunteer posting for website.

Women

Juniors need water bottles and ball bag.  Malcolm to purchase bag.

Amanda stepping down as Women’s Director.

Webmaster

Average number of hits per day is ~60

Package to be created for recruits (Darlene).

Suggestions and observations re U16 touring teams to BRFC

Annual Awards Banquet will be November 3^rd 2007.
