CLUBHOUSE REPORT – NOVEMBER 7TH EXECUTIVE MEETING

CLUB EVENT RESULTS –
Fiscal
year end for the Club is
31st October 2007.
Graham has advised that he needs 6 weeks to complete the accounts.
Any outstanding invoices and expenses must therefore be submitted to
Lucia immediately.

BAR / OPERATIONS
We are waiting on garbage pick-up invoice from GP to
send to PowerAde Centre for reimbursement.
Sent e-mail to Mike Hardcastle re charge back for time
spent on clean-up – he agreed to give us free snow plow over the
winter.
We need signage around the property to indicate that
this is Private Property. We also need to put up a sign indicating
whom we are as apparently, we share an address with the
Safety
Village. Lucia has attempted to get our correct address. This is an
issue with the Peel Regional Police and despatching for alarms – Not
completed.
We are on a 60 day grace period with regards to police
Despatch.
Bar hours are Wednesday – Wanderers darts7PM TO
11:30PM

MAINTENANCE
The main item to look for this year is the maintenance and repair of
the kitchen hood. Sent 2 re-mails to Grant Partridge, but no
response. Will have to call suppliers and get quotes. As of now,
there is no point in using the grill for indoor cooking.
NOT DONE THIS YEAR
Ice machine no longer works.– Unit will need to be disposed of in
the proper fashion. Ice will need to be purchased weekly for any
events that are held, and stored in the deep freezer. In the Spring
we will have to get another freezer to store ice, or budget for a
new ice making machine.
Jim Wilson getting a quotation for the door on the back of the
clubhouse.
Several areas throughout the Club need dry wall repair.
Hedley
Benyon was to pass the Fire Plan to Dave Angove for review
Jim Wilson has advised that he will be retiring this year.
Doug Purdy has conformed he will step in to help fill Jim’s
position, but will be providing proposal for scope of work and
payment
Various repairs around the Club now being completed by Doug
– back patio complete – walkway currently being finished.

MISCELLANEOUS
CORRESPONDENCE -
I have
picked up a message from the club from the Trillium Foundation
asking if we received our invitation to the great grants awards
banquet which is on Nov. 13th. I have not received
anything. For details please call 1-800-263-2887 x 294.
Spoke to Mark from BUC and he did express interest in
being more involved at the club from an executive perspective. I
advised I would let him know when the AGM was going to be held if he
or anyone from BUC was interested in getting involved.
AWARDS DINNER RESPONSES
6th
November 2007, we had received a commitment from 35 members and
guests.
