GYMPIE RUGBY UNION CLUB Player Recruitment Programme 2008          19th November 2007

 

The Gympie Rugby Union Club of Queensland Australia, is seeking players aged over 18 years for the Club's senior A Grade and Reserve Grade teams.

 

1. Employment- First and foremost The Gympie Rugby Union Club will assist new recruits in finding suitable employment and has offers from local businesses to accept

                                             - Trade qualified Fitters & Turner

                                             - Trade Qualified Boiler Makers

                                             - Trades assistant to fitter & Turner

                                             - Builders Labourers

                                             - Landscapers

                                             - Concreters

                                             - Abattoir workers

Those looking for apprenticeship are required to be in Australia for 6 months before applying

 

2. Shared accommodation-The Club will organise housing for players, average house rentals in Gympie are $250-300 for a 4 bedroom house making it $75 per wk plus expenses.

 

3. Travel Assistance- The club will reimburse $200 for the cost of airfares for players on arrival.

                - You will be picked up from the Brisbane Airport on arrival.

                - Registration Fees .Fees in Gympie are the lowest in the Sunshine Coast Competition.

                - Shirt, shorts, socks, for the 2008 season are included in the $130 fee

                - The ARU Insurance scheme is also provided with registration fees.

                - Players will also receive at the completion of the season their playing jersey.

                - Head gear and mouth guards are not provided but available from any of Gympie's sports stores
