BRAMPTON DEFEATS STE-ANNE'S IN
PRE-SEASON EXHIBITION 9th May 2008
Clubs Build on Strong Ties

On 3rd May weekend, at Loyola Campus of
Concordia University, three Brampton's Touring teams played
against a Ste-Anne's Under 21 team (bolstered by members of the
Quebec U 21 Rugby Canada Super League Caribou team), plus a
Ste-Anne's Senior Men's and Senior Women's side. The matches
were all part of a tour by the Beavers to Montreal, and the
games further cemented the bonds between the two Clubs.

By all accounts, Brampton spent an
enjoyable evening in Montreal on Friday night, a fact confirmed
by the number of knock-ons made during the matches, and these
helped to keep the score line close. The Ste-Anne's Men's side
were vanquished by 5 tries to two, but the match was a spirited
and well-fought affair played in cool conditions.

The tour and matches allowed both Clubs
to get in an early pre-season game before the start of the
regular season, While the Beavers won the Men's games, the
Women's game was won by Ste-Anne's.

Afterwards, the Beavers were joined by a
group of Ste-Anne's players to enjoy a post game drink and the
Habs hockey game at Ye Olde Orchard Pub on Mountain Street.
