Fresh from an impressive tie against Biarritz in their last T14 match, this match at home saw Montauban stall and lose to Perpignan 12 - 29. The Catalans were out to revenge a loss at home to Montauban earlier this season, and they put their foot to the floor. The Montauban team had problems in just getting started, and at the half they were already 23 - 7 down.

Brampton's Ryan Smith came on at 55 minutes to replace Albert in the centre, but the game was already gone.

"In the first twenty minutes we might just as well have stayed in the dressing room," lamented Coach Laurent Travers. "The era when home matches were easier than away games has gone." Montauban has to get back on track and quickly.
