BRIAN KELLY - WOMEN'S RUGBY COACH          27th July 2007
 

Brian grew up in a Rugby family, with his dad Dougie, introducing him to the sport at an early age, and his older brother Malcolm playing as well.  Brian started playing rugby in high school and played on many championship teams at Chinguacousy S.S.In 1993, Brian joined the Brampton Beavers as a player on the Under 17 team. Throughout his rugby career, Brian has travelled on many Rugby tours with Chinguacousy and the Beavers.

 

Brian has coached the Humberview Huskies Rugby team for the past 6 years and has now moved on to share his knowledge with our Women's Rugby program. Brian looks forward to bringing back Brampton’s winning ways, by not only becoming League champions, but by working in the near future to move the team back up to, and compete in, the OWL.

 

He feels that with the current women’s team and strong junior program, it won’t be long before Brampton Women’s Rugby team will be a force to be reckoned with again. He sees Brampton  as potentially one of the top teams in the province.
