The Brampton Beavers Women's team came
out strong once again on the weekend's match against Ajax,
winning the match by over 50 points. The team was also in
pursuit of going over 0.500 for the first time this season.

Brampton's players took it to a
depleted and injured Ajax team and never let up. Even with the
game cut
short, the Beavers managed to pile up 10 tries against the
Wanderers. Brampton showed great leadership in the backs as
both Holly and Dar
helped motivate a back line playing out of
position for the most part.
Andrea Breuer meanwhile led the
forwards, and the team, from the front once again, not only
with her strong physical play around the field, but with her
on-field coaching as well. With powerful running from Paige
and Jessie Dionne, the outcome was never in doubt. The
Brampton Beavers Women are working hard at practice and this
clearly showed in the game as unit and individual play
complemented team play.
The Brampton Women's next game is at
home Sunday August 12th vs. Lindsay, the only undefeated team
in our League. The team expects everyone to be there to
support the Beavers as they finish the season strong and try
to reclaim second position in the league.

The team would like to thank Little
Holly or "Bibit" (as many of us - but not the coach - call
her,(for coming to our game and stepping on the field for the
first time as a member of the senior women's team. Bibit is
currently a member of the Brampton Under 19 women's team. We
have several great young women players on the junior team, and
the team encourages everyone to make it out to their games and
see the future of our women's team for years to come.
