KUDOS TO BRAMPTON WOMEN'S RUGBY
7th July 2008 By Brian Kelly
With the news that Canada's Under 20
National Women's team will be playing at Appleby College in
Oakville (For more information see HERE), it is a good time to
give kudos to a number of Brampton Women players who have been
selected for representative Rugby sides.
Jenna Livingston has been selected as a member of the Under 20
Women's National team as a lock, and she will be playing in
the Nations Cup Tournament 11th - 19th July 2008.
Along with Jenna, another fine Rugby
player, Mary Jane Kirby, has been selected to the Canada "A"
side, which is also competing in the Nations Cup. This is a
great honour for both of these ladies and a great honour for
the Brampton Rugby Club. I hope that each and every person out
there who reads this will support them in their endeavours as
they represent the BRFC on the National stage. They are both
very exciting players to watch and we are lucky to have them
as part of our program.
Brampton also has three other players who are representing the
Brampton Club at the representative level. Elizabeth "Bibit"
Monkman is playing U17 Ontario Provincial team at scrumhalf.
Miranda Smith is playing U19 Ontario Provincial at lock. And
last, but not least, Jessica "Jake" Jacobs is also playing U19
Ontario Provincial Rugby at front row.
These ladies are the future of the BRFC,
and I hope that you will all lend them your support.
