BRAMPTON WOMEN WIN TRU "A" DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
The culmination of an amazing season took place on Saturday
August 23 with the Brampton Rugby Club’s Senior Women’s Team
winning the Toronto Rugby Union (TRU) ‘A’ division
championship against Oshawa.
Going into the game, Brampton was
sporting an 11 and 1 record with the single loss at the hands
of Saturday’s opponent.
A week previous to this game saw the
Senior Women’s team win a promotion match to qualify for their
return into the Ontario Women’s League (OWL)

BRAMPTON'S RYAN SMITH TO START
VS WALES
Canada has named Ryan Smith to the
team to face Wales on Friday night at Millennium Stadium. The squad
features only two changes from last Saturday's 55-0 defeat to Ireland,
and one change on the bench. .
Canada coach Kieran Crowley will
be looking for improvement over last Saturday's outing. "I think against
Ireland we were on our back foot from nearly the beginning," said
Crowley - who indicated the officiating was frustrating for his young
team in the first half. The traditional colors of the two teams will be
missing. Canada's players will be wearing their new,
